  2. Recommendations

To improve operations and help ensure agencies operate with efficiency and integrity, Inspectors General make recommendations for corrective action, generally as part of audit or inspection reports.

The CARES Act requires that all recommendations relating to agencies’ Coronavirus response and the use of federal funds in that response and the status of the recommendations be made available to the public. As Inspectors General offer recommendations to their agencies through audits, inspections, memoranda, or other formats, those recommendations and their status (e.g., open or resolved) will be posted here.
